The Greatest WWE Superstar Of All Time, John Cena
John Cena
When you think about wrestlers, you often think about Dwayne “ The Rock “ Johnson, “Stone Cold” Steve Austin, Hulk Hogan, Ric Flair, Undertaker, Shawn Michaels, John Cena, Randy and many more incredible superstars. Today, we are going to talk about the guy who you can never see, John Cena and I will tell you why he is the greatest of all time.
John Cena made his WWE debut on June 27th of 2002 where he started his 25 year journey by facing Kurt Angle. Even though he had lost, the WWE universe saw a hero in him. From there, he had a lot of wins and the WWE universe started to fall in love with him. Well, you can’t talk about a wrestler without including their title reigns. John Cena has won 17 World Titles and is still going.
He won his first ever championship on April 3, 2005 where he cleanly defeated Bradshaw, who is known as “JBL” today. He held that title for 280 days until losing to Edge at the 2006 Royal Rumble pay per view. His latest title win was on November 10, 2025 where he defeated “Dirty” Dominick Mysterio for the Intercontinental Championship. He has had multiple championship reigns in between.
The most important aspect of Pro Wrestling is the fans. Without the fans, there would be no John Cena. Currently, he has a wonderful relationship with his fans but it was not like that all the time. When he first started his wrestling career, he had received a lot of “boos” from the crowd. He wasn’t loved, no one cared about him, and it was a disaster. Match after match it would be boos after boos. After several matches and title reigns, the fans saw that he cared about us and wanted to make us feel happy after every show. Now in 2025, whenever fans hear his theme song, they all chant.
The G.O.A.T has been wrestling for 25 years and is currently wrestling at the age of 48. He announced his retirement in June of 2024 and he said that he will retire by the end of 2025. Currently, it is November 15th, 2025. John Cena has 1 month left and 3 more dates to go. His last match will be on December 13th, 2025, Saturday Night Main Event where he will face the winner from the Last Time Is Now Tournament. John Cena is a special individual and no one will achieve what he has accomplished. After all these years of hard work, dedication, and perseverance, everyone will be chanting “Thank You Cena” and he deserves all of it. Thanks John Cena and everyone will love you even when you have retired from wrestling. Thank you Cena!
